Third teen charged over Millie and Gavin arson attack
A 16 year old boy has appeared at a sitting of Limerick District court today charged in relation to an arson attack which seriously injured two Limerick children earlier this year.
The youth who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with intentionally or recklessly causing serious harm to Gavin and Millie Murray outside their Moyross home in September.
Giving evidence in court today, Garda Andrew O'Riordan told how the defendant kept guard for two other youths while they filled two bottles with petrol and carried out the heinous act.
Judge Aeneas McCarthy stated that the charges brought before the teen were very serious and announced that she was refusing jurisdiction in the case.
The youth was bailed to appear again on January 2nd. Two other teens have already been charged in relation to the arson attack.
Gavin and Millie Murray are still recovering in a Dublin Hospital three months after the attack however they did spend Christmas Day at home with their family in Limerick.
