Garda injured in motorcycle accident

A Garda motorcyclist has been injured in a road traffic accident in County Limerick this morning.

The Garda bike was in collision with a truck in the village around 11am. He was taken to the mid western regional hospital suffering only minor injuries.

A Garda investigation into the incident is underway. Its thought the Garda was on traffic duty for the tour of Ireland cycle event when the accident happened.
