Ammunition, Firearm and drugs seized in continuing searches

Gardai investigating the murder of Shane Geoghegan have recovered more ammunition, drugs and a firearm in continuing searches in Weston.

Today’s searches began at 8am and so far Gardai have confirmed that 74 rounds of ammunition, a firearm and a small quantity of drugs have been recovered. The firearm was recovered at a vacant house in the area around 11.30am this morning.

Searches are continuing.
