Man charged over Michael Street assault
A man has appeared before Limerick District court today after he was charged this morning in relation to a brutal assault of another man last weekend.
24 year old Michael Kirby from Prospect was arrested Monday morning following the attack on 21 year old Adam Hayes on Friday evening. He was charged this morning with serious assault causing harm.
Mr. Hayes remains in a stable but serious condition in Cork University Hospital since the attack which Gardai say was carried out by two men.
The victim’s family has said today that there's been a “slight improvement” in his condition.
At the sitting today the accused was remanded in custody to appear again on December 2nd where he will be applying for bail. Gardai are still searching for one other man in relation to the incident.
