Man arrested over grenade scare

Limerick Gardai have confirmed that they have arrested and subsequently released a 19 -year- old man in relation an incident last week in which an inert training grenade was thrown through the window of a woman’s apartment in the city.

Local Limerick radio is reporting that a file has been sent to the D.P.P in relation to the incident.

The man was arrested over the weekend. Gardai have also confirmed that the incident was related to the seizure of a high powered pistol on Edward Street two weeks ago.
