A €10,000 reward has been raised in the hope of gathering new information on the disappearance of a Limerick man who has been missing for 8 years.

Matthew Carroll who was 30 at the time was last seen outside the Steering Wheel pub at the Roxboro Shopping Centre on June 8th 1998.

The mans last known whereabouts were recreated last night on the monthly Crimecall show on RTE One.

He said,

“I would be very confident based on the phone calls we got last night saying that People would contact myself or another member of An Garda Shiochana, I would have great confidence that this information will come forward at this stage especially for the sake of Mrs. Theresa Carroll and her family”

Matthew was last seen in the Steering Wheel pub car park in the Roxboro Shopping Centre with three others between 7pm and 8pm walking past Xtravision and then headed in the direction of the Roxboro Roundabout.
