Stormy end to 2006?


All signs are pointing to quite a windy end to the year with weather authorities reporting a stormy, squally Sunday in our area.

The Met is warning of Stormy conditions along with damaging gusts as high as 150km/hr along with heavy rain and showers. It looks like the hours between 9.00am and 6.00pm will be the stormiest.

Severe Weather Alert : Stormy today, with damaging winds gusting as high as 140 or 150 km/h. Heavy rain this morning, with some localised flooding.

The European Storm Forecast Experiment has our area under a thunderstorm warning for a 24hr period beginning at 6am Sunday.If I hear of any damage resulting from this event I will post it.

Just remember to tie the dog to something.
