Man injured after Northside shooting incident

Gardai in Limerick are investigating a shooting incident on the northside of the city.

Reports say a 19-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to one of his legs in the attack which happened in the Ballynanty area of the city around 9.20pm.

He was rushed to hospital after the incident however his injuries are not said to be life threatening.

Gardai at Mayorstone are investigating.
