Region pounded by strong winds

Winds and gusts of up to 100 kmph are being experienced in the Limerick area as a strong Atlantic storm pushes across the county overnight and through Thursday.

Reports of trees down in Adare, Askeaton and Bruff to name a few.Bits from Bruff blogger Donal reports that Bruff had "either no electricity or very low power." overnight.

NEW DETAILS: Power has been restored to Bruff however 120 houses are still without power kilmeedy and Galbally.
