Mother and daughter injured in smash

Two people are recovering in Limerick regional Hospital tonight after a three vehicle collision Monday.

The injured, a woman and her daughter were traveling in a car on the Dublin Road when they were in collision with two articulated trucks around midday on the Limerick side of Birdhill.

Major tailbacks were reported as a crane was located to move one of the trucks following the accident.

Both are said to be stable in hospital tonight.
