Jobs to be lost at Newcastle West plant

Around 59 jobs will be lost at the Filtertek plant in Newcastle West, the company confirmed this morning.

The company which designs and manufactures custom filters for major original equipment manufacturer’s across the globe, said it would be restructuring the business and would be reducing its workforce at the plant from 100 to round 40 people, sighting the recent economic downturn for the decision.

In a statement the company said it regrets the decision.
