Man injured in Henry Street stabbing
A man in his twenties was injured after he was stabbed in an incident in Limerick city centre Monday night.
Its believed man was stabbed outside a fast food takeaway on upper Henry Street around 9 pm. Gardai and Ambulance were alerted to the incident and the victim was rushed to the Mid Western Regional Hospital where he is in a stable condition. Another man, also in his twenties was arrested in connection with the incident a short time after the attack.
The arrested man is being held under section 4 of the criminal justice act at Henry Street Garda station. The victims injuries are not life threatening.
