Partial building collapse on Mallow Street

A section of Upper Mallow Street was closed this evening after what witnesses say was a 'partial building collapse'.

Gardai had cordoned off a section of the street for just under two hours after a small amount of bricks and rubble from one building on the street fell away onto the road below around 5.30pm.

The collapse occurred somewhere close to the Scout Hall. There were no injuries.
